The Farmville Area Habitat for Humanity has taken ownership of a home in Charlotte Courthouse that has sat vacant now for a few years. After inspections by a local contractor who volunteers with the Charlotte County Partnership, the determination was made that a successful home rehabilitation project could be undertaken on this property. Over the next few months, professionals and volunteers will work to transform this house into a safe, decent, affordable home for a Charlotte County family. As with all Habitat partnerships, that family will work alongside volunteers to repair their future home. They will also take homeowner education classes and pay an affordable monthly mortgage. If you are interested in helping a local family build their future, contact Habitat today.
